I know that you are one of those good Christian friends who doesn’t mind listening to some heartfelt complaints about everything from too much noise coming from the church baby cry-room, to the two extra minutes the preacher took to finish his sermon. But having escaped that, you are reminded of the real world. The one where people struggle with the real frustrations, temptations, and fears of life. Where encouragement and sound wisdom are needed. Problems that cause you to seek divine intervention on their part.It is crucial that when contemplating any shortcomings in your prayer life, that you keep at the forefront of your mind that ‘the prayer’ guaranteed an answer in the affirmative is: “Lord, please give me wisdom.”Yes, the Lord will give you wisdom, for the asking, without finding fault (James 1:5). In basic terms, God has two desires for you: Firstly, to get you to heaven, and secondly, for you to reflect the glory of Jesus in your everyday life.Asking in faith is vital. Without faith wisdom will pass you by – taking all its blessings with it. Without faith your search for wisdom is abandoned before it begins. You will lose your way.Since God’s work is your work, acceptance that He is providing those resources you need to do His work is vital. Otherwise, you miss it, get nothing done, and begin to scoff at wisdom in your disillusionment.Remember, God provides what you need.Becoming wise in the Lord is up to you.Staying a scoffing fool is up to you, too.Choose Wisdom!
