I have met evil people in the church. They are the last to believe it of themselves. Such is the hardness of their hearts that destroying the lives of others is considered by them as acts of righteousness.
I have met righteous people in the church. They are the last to believe it of themselves. Such is the goodness of their hearts that blessing the lives of others is considered by them as acts of right-ness. Giving thanks to their loving Saviour.
These good Christians are looking forward to a place devoid of sorrow and suffering. It is their strong incentive to wish heaven upon everyone.
Heaven will be everything that earth is not. We will shake off the issues of the physical and put on the blessings of the spiritual. Gone will be the ever-decreasing circles of the temporary. Welcomed will be the mysteries of the eternal. Here, the armour for daily battle with Satan, there, a crown of ceaseless glory with the Saviour.
Don’t miss this!
Jesus has gone to prepare a place for you (Jn.14:2). Great will be your reward for enduring a life of trails and persecutions (Mt.5:12). You have this assurance between now and then: “Faith is the victory that overcomes the world” (1Jn.5:4).Jude points directly to the power that will keep you from falling. Note that you will stand here and also stand in the presence of God—joyfully and victorious!“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy” (Jude24).But what of those who struggle, stumble, and fall around us? Yes, we have a duty.Jude speaks of our desperate work:“
And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear (Jude 22-23a).
The battle for the souls of men rages around you. You are kept for eternity by grace through faith—share it!
